Create your own unique piece of sculpture

Inspired by the countryside around you and fuelled by good food and sweet treats, even first-time carvers will create their own work of art to take away with them.  Spend two days with us in the beautiful Cotswold Water Park and you'll find our courses are about more than just learning new skills.

What can I expect?

The course runs over two days and covers basic stone carving techniques for beginners.  Those with some previous experience will be inspired to explore new ideas and techniques.

You'll receive a safety briefing before you start and shown how to use the tools, then you'll be able to discuss your ideas and get going.

With expert guidance and patient encouragement, you'll soon be tapping away at your own pace.

All stone is provided, along with tools, safety goggles and an apron.  We do ask that you wear stout shoes for safety, and comfortable clothes that won’t suffer when they get dusty!  The studio can be a bit chilly if the weather is poor so layers are a good idea too.

"We did the weekend stone carving course last October. We thoroughly enjoyed the weekend with David's inspiration and guidance, sustained by delicious food! We found it to be a great introduction to stone carving. Thanks David!"
